Blood Pack

We have new forums. I was unable to keep the web address the same so you will need to update your bookmarks. I want to go over a few things before I give you the link though.

There are many improvements, and some drawbacks to these new forums.

Improvements:

For one, we now have an arcade (which I have to say, is very very cool.) that I will be adding games to regularly to give us all something to pass the time. There is a leader board, and the ability to have tournaments as well. So, I hope you all enjoy that.

The forums look much cooler.

We have a more streamlined method of taking recruitment applications.

The forums are faster and more reliable.

The moderators have some enhanced abilities, and I have much greater control over some of the more technical aspects (which I guess is wholly unimportant to you all)

I can enhance the forums with many, many different features. So if there is something that we want to be able to do that we can’t…I can probably take care of it now, easily.

The “downsides”:

I can no longer give you a “display name” different from your actual user name.

Your passwords did not transfer over to the new software.

Here is what that means. For those of you who had a display name different from you user name, your user name has changed to what your display name was. If you had a display name with a first and last name, you will only use the first name when you log in.

Many of your birthdays are screwed up too, so you’ll need to fix those.

Your passwords will need to be reset. I don’t know them, so I can’t help you out and do it for you.

DO NOT TRY TO LOG IN WITH YOUR OLD PASSWORD UNTIL YOU FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE I LIST BELOW

So here is what you do: Go to the password reset page on the new forums here. Type in the email address you registered with, and hit the request button. You will be sent an email with your user name and a link to reset your password. Once you have done that, your new password will be emailed to you. You can then log in and change it to whatever you wish.

I know this is a bit of a hassle, but trust me…it’s for the better. You can even keep your password the same as it was on these boards, that doesn’t matter. Because of the software change though, we have to set it again for each of us.

Well, that’s a bit strange. Just yesterday I mentioned how we had been without an update for a few weeks (nearly 30 days) and today…we have an update!

News is scarce on the Darkfall front this month, but the Blood Pack is still alive and thriving. Join me in welcoming our new recruits: Alucard Ranath, Fenrir, Alexander Anderson, and Kenokai.

Many of our members are biding their time by playing Battlefield 2 and a mod called Project Reality, others are simply waiting patiently for news on Beta. Rest assured as soon as news hits, you will find a post here about it.

The Blood Pack welcomes Odium Nemo, Tiesto and Belleitar into the ranks. Each of these recruits shows a strong sense of loyalty to their brethren, and a natural blood lust that will serve them well as our network continues to grow.

The Blood Pack welcomes Nacitar into the probationary ranks.

We would like to give special recognition to Nacitar, and thank him for assisting in getting our IRC page set up and working properly. On his first day in the Pack too!

We welcome him and his quick trigger finger, and look forward to a long future full of enemy suffering, and swift hunts.

The Blood Pack welcomes Wu Wei to it’s ranks. He brings with him a strong understanding of combat and intelligence. He shows great promise and we look forward to utilizing all of the skills he brings with him.

The Blood Pack welcomes our newest provisional members, Vatic and Entrix.

Vatic comes prepared with fast reflexes and affinity for combat we are sure will serve the Pack well. Entrix, an eager young hunter, is anxious for the day he can prove himself in the arts of shadow.

Darkfall Associate Producer, Tasos Flambouras, has released a new update. Well, update isn’t really the proper term as much of it was clarification on many misunderstandings from Darkfall forums users. Overall, we know basically the same information as the last update told us.

We did learn that they plan on releasing a new video soon, and that there will be some mainstream media interviews soon as well.

Today, May 9th, gives us great news. Aventurine has announced that Darkfall will be released inside of 2008!

There are some changes to the bank system, and the behaviors of NPC guards in All-Race Clans.
